Beautiful Mocabee Creek.

If you can get past all the garbage that is usually floating downstream, or hung up on rocks, it's actually a very pretty place.  Last summer, it was so hot and dry, there was almost no water running at all.
A redbud in bloom.  Just beyond the red gate is the newly patched cow pasture.

  1. So freaking jealous of the redbud. Mine never make it through winter. I am willing to try again though for something that can look like that.

  2. This is a very old growth red bud. Infact I don't even think we noticed it was there before... There are so many of them along the roadsides down here. you want some seedlings?
